Lauren
Edmunds is the twenty-year-old daughter of Fred and Kay Edmunds of
Americus , GA. She is a 2007 honor
graduate of Southland Academy , where she was the Salutatorian of her
class. Lauren is a Furnishings and Interiors major at The University of
Georgia. She plans to graduate in 2011 and will pursue a career as an
interior designer and professional organizer.
In
the Miss Southern Rivers competition,
Lauren presented a jazz en pointe routine to Michael Bublé’s “Feelin’
Good.” Currently, Lauren is a dance teacher at Freedom of Movement Dance
Academy in Watkinsville , GA. There, she
instructs students who are three through six-years-old in ballet, tap,
and jazz.
Lauren’s personal platform
of five years is Breast Cancer Awareness because her mother and
grandmother are both survivors. Having worked with the Susan G. Komen
Breast Cancer Foundation, BMW Drive for the Cure, American Cancer
Society, and Pink Pals, Lauren is spreading her family’s story in order
to fight breast cancer |
