Eligibility for Competition

     Miss Southern Rivers is an open pageant.  Contestants must be:

  • a single female between the ages of 17-24

  • a high school graduate before July 30 in the year of the pageant.

  • not less than 17 years of age on the date of the local pageant nor more than 24 years of age on December 31 in the year of the pageant.

  • a permanent resident for at least six months, or a full-time student for at least one semester, or a full-time employee for at least six months in the State of Georgia.

Miss Southern Rivers Pageant is Friday, March 4, 2011.  Deadline for competition registration is February 23rd, 2011.

     Note:  In case of two requests for the same music, the contestant whose form is received first will be allowed to use the music.

     Our Pageant is a dinner pageant.  Tickets are $40 per person which includes dinner.  Reservations are required and no reservations will be accepted without payment.

 

Please complete the following required items using the forms below and bring to dress rehearsal.

7.  CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK Miss CMN Info Part 1  Miss CMN Info Part 2 $100 Donation
In addition to your own personal platform, there is a National Platform for Miss America: The Children's Miracle Network.  All contestant's competing in a local preliminary are REQUIRED to complete the Service Requirement of raising $100 for the CMN.  This is a tax deductible donation.  Contestants are not required to handle any money.  All fundraising may be done via the internet and mail.  Please visit the official website at:  www.missamerica4kids.org  to register and get answers to frequently answered questions.  YOUR DONATION OF $100 MUST BE PAID BEFORE THE DATE OF THE PAGEANT DRESS REHEARSAL and will be verified by the local Executive Director.

8.      Music (CDs only) cannot exceed 1 min 30 seconds.  This should be the only track on the CD. Label your CD with your name and title of music.   Please bring a back-up in case your CD does not work on the theater sound equipment.

9.      Contract
Simply fill in the appropriate blanks after first highlighting the existing text. Filling one blank will automatically populate all similar blanks. No other text may be changed, added or deleted. Please remember to make a hard copy of your finished contract before closing the file since this Adobe PDF file cannot be saved.
 If needed, a notary will be available at dress rehearsal.

11.  Copy of driver's license and birth certificate, proof of residence.

Orientation and Rehearsal 

The mandatory orientation and full dress rehearsal for the pageant will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 beginning promptly at 3:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Ministry Center, Columbus, Georgia  31906.
